2012 Divine Red - Lodi
Our winemaking philosophy is to use a gentle hand and let the quality of the vineyards shine through. As such, our oak aging provides subtle, toasty notes while the ripeness and vibrancy of the fruit takes center stage. We used new medium-toast French oak to give our Divine Red the structure it deserved. This blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah gives ‘divine’ balance and complexity to the wine.
Our Divine Red with its deep, rich, red color opens with aromas of blackberry, cedar and cinnamon. The blackberry and black pepper flavors are complemented by hints of plum and cassis, giving the wine depth and complexity.
New French oak adds a pleasant mouth feel, texture and weight giving the right amount of influence to envelop the wine in a fitting tannic structure and a long finish that preserves the integrity and brightness of the Lodi fruit.
Blend: 54% Zinfandel, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon,
21% Petite Sirah, 2% Petit Verdot
Our Divine Red allows Marc to work his magic with premium Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah grown in the Lodi appellation in Northern California. Lodi, with its classic Mediterranean climate, enjoys warm days and cool nights thanks to cool delta breezes originating from the San Francisco Bay. It’s the perfect climate.
